Job Description Commercial Property Solicitor (3–4 PQE) Salary: £50,000–£65,000 DOE Location: Luton (development focus progression) If you’re a Commercial Property Solicitor who wants to build a clear specialism in development work (or you already have some exposure and want more), this is a standout opportunity with our client, a well-regarded regional law firm with a strong pipeline and an established property team. The Role: Commercial Property (Development-leaning) This is a full-time position where you’ll run your own matters and work alongside senior colleagues on more complex development transactions. You’ll be involved in work such as: Development transactions (site acquisition support, set-up matters, plot sales support depending on experience) Sales and purchases of commercial property Landlord & Tenant matters (leases, renewals, variations, assignments) Refinance and secured lending transactions (where relevant) What you’ll be doing day-to-day: Managing files from instruction through to completion with appropriate supervision Drafting and negotiating documentation and dealing with title issues Advising clients clearly on risk, timescales and commercial considerations Building strong relationships with clients and referrers Developing your capability towards Senior Associate level over time Requirements To be considered, you’ll ideally have: Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales 3–4 years’ PQE in Commercial Property within a UK legal practice A genuine interest in development work (or existing development exposure) Solid grounding in core commercial property transactions (sales/purchases, L&T and/or refinance) Strong drafting skills, attention to detail and a client-first approach Desirable (not essential): Direct experience supporting on development acquisitions and/or plot sales Experience working with SME, investor or developer clients Salary & Benefits Salary: £50,000–£65,000 depending on experience and fit (benchmarking for 3–4 PQE Commercial Property roles in the regional market) Benefits typically include: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (often increasing with service) Pension contribution Private medical / health cash plan (often available in firms of this size) Life assurance (where offered) CPD and training support (including development-focused learning where relevant) Clear progression opportunities as you build your development specialism Wellbeing initiatives and employee support (varies by firm) Apply / Enquire If you’re a Commercial Property Solicitor (3–4 PQE) looking to develop a stronger development focus, contact: David Hawthorne-Finch d.hawthorne-finch@h-fts.com Send your CV or a brief summary of your current role and what you want to specialise in next.
