This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 3 days minimum per week in the office.

The ideal candidate is someone who is:
* Strategic, creative, and entrepreneurial
* Experienced working within a global, cross-functional team
* Has a player/coach mentality. We are still building our capabilities and teams, so our senior team rolls up their sleeves to both strategize and do the work
* Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strategic marketing experience that includes experience across EMEA in ensuring marketing programs are successful and align with Marketing success metrics
* Consistent record of crafting and implementing successful marketing and advertising campaigns across continental Europe, from PR, to content and events in a highly regulated environment
* Asset management marketing experience required; specific experience in institutional and high net worth (HNW) client segment marketing preferred
* Experience leading a geographically dispersed EMEA team
* Knowledge of advertising strategies including search engine marketing, advertising, and how to deploy across EMEA
What you will do:
* Work closely with the global head of marketing communications and US-based counterparts to define, refine, and implement HarbourVest’s marketing strategy in EMEA
* Build and enhance recognition of HarbourVest’s brand and market position in EMEA, with an emphasis on institutional and HNW client segments
* Orchestrate the development and execution of initiatives and lead all aspects of EMEA PR, client events, and internal communications
* Work cross-functionally with US brand team to plan, create, and launch creative campaigns and compelling stories that resonate with audiences across EMEA
* Establish goals and create strategy for meeting EMEA marketing results and metrics, working closely with colleagues across teams and functions
* Partner with global peers, EMEA IR team and investment product specialists to align efforts globally
* Build strong relationships with global colleagues across channels, including PR, Internal Communications, Product Marketing, Digital, Design, Events, and Thought leadership.
* Lead 2-person London-based team in EMEA and relevant agency resources
* Occasional cat-herding
* And other responsibilities as required
What you bring:
* Understanding of how to market in a highly localised environment in various countries across EMEA
* Experience with maximising KPIs to measure success and analyse results to make strategic recommendations
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to not take oneself too seriously
* Dedicated and inclusive leader, able to empower staff and build teams and process
* Skilled at forming relationships across an organisation including key partners and individuals at all levels of seniority
* Strong project management skills, including proven organisational skills with attention to detail, able to optimally manage multiple projects
Education Preferred:
* Bachelor of Arts (B.A) or equivalent experience
Experience:
* 10+ Years of proven experience in a marketing capacity preferred (VP)
* 10-15 Years of demonstrated ability in marketing in EMEA, including brand and campaign management, advertising, digital marketing, events, public relations, and internal communications
* 5-10 Years of asset management, financial services, or private equity marketing experience
