Key Responsibilities
* Code and match invoices to purchase orders, ensuring correct nominal allocation.
* Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis and resolve any discrepancies.
* Post payments onto the finance system and produce month-end creditor listings.
* Produce weekly payment runs for both entities.
* Ensure all Purchase Ledger tasks are completed to monthly deadlines.
* Maintain and reconcile the sales ledger, including issuing invoices and credit notes.
* Manage petty cash and cash floats, including monthly reconciliations and posting approved claims.
* Track and resolve unallocated payments/receipts and other cash transaction queries.
* Handle internal and external invoice-related queries.
The Ideal Candidate
* Confidence working in a fast-paced finance environment.
* This role is ideal for someone with finance or purchase ledger experience, or if you’re looking to start your career in accounting.
* Excellent communication, administrative, and organisational abilities.
* Knowledge of all aspects of purchase ledger, including reconciling supplier statements (for experienced candidates).
* Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Fast and accurate data entry with the ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
