We are looking for an Urgent Treatment Room Clinician to join our busy team.
With a focus on minor illness, this vacancy is suitable for a Paramedic, Pharmacist, or Nurse with relevant experience. Completion of a prescribing course would be ideal.

* From £25 per hour, depending on role and experience

Shift Pattern: 27 hours per week Conversations around flexible working and compressed hours are encouraged.
We seek someone to join us for 27 hours per week, over 3 days. While Monday, Tuesday, & Friday would be ideal, we can offer some flexibility for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
Working at our Shenley Church End site in the Acute Hub, you will provide on-the-day care to our patients.
The team includes Minor Illness Nurses, Prescribing Pharmacists, and Paramedics, and we are looking for someone similar to join this well-supported team.

Job responsibilities
Main Duties & Responsibilities (may include):
* Provide urgent, on-the-day care to patients via the Acute Hub
* Participate in all treatment and preventative healthcare services as delegated and agreed by supervising GPs
* Provide direct clinical care to patients using established guidelines
* Consult and refer patients to physicians, specialists, and other health professionals as needed
* Interview patients, take histories, perform examinations, diagnose, and explain medical issues
* Recommend and explain diagnostic tests and treatments
* Request and interpret lab results
* Perform diagnostic physical exams and procedures
* Educate patients on preventative health care
* Conduct telephone consultations, discussing lab results and managing routine and emergency complaints
* Order laboratory tests under supervision
* Triaging requests from patients via electronic communication
* Document all patient care accurately and complete administrative paperwork
* Participate in clinician duty rota, including home visits when appropriate
* Formulate diagnoses and treatment plans in consultation with or referral to supervising doctors

Experience
* Experience with minor illness is essential
* Must be a paramedic, pharmacist, or nurse with relevant experience
* Ideally, you will have completed or be in the process of completing a prescribing course
