We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician based atour site in Leek, Staffordshire. The site is undergoing investment for thefuture including equipment and infrastructure. The role involves working as part of a smallmulti skilled team to perform routine maintenance procedures and helptroubleshoot and quickly repair any mechanical or electrical problems with themanufacturing processes and supporting equipment and systems. Day-to-day taskscan vary greatly based priorities and requires workingclosely with the maintenance, operations, quality, and engineering teams. The role will also involve interaction withspecialised external contractors with the overall aim to allow production tooperate safely and efficiently. The roleis days based Monday to Friday with an on call rota out of hours.

Essentials:
9. Commitment to maintaining high safety, health & environmental standards
10. A recognised electrical or mechanical qualification at level 3 or above
11. Have the ability to work as part of a team to solve problems contributing your knowledge and valuing the knowledge of others
12. Good written and verbal communicator, able to demonstrate an eye for detail
13. Competence in basic IT skills such as email, web applications or other IT systems
14. Commitment to ongoing training & development
15. Able to demonstrateinitiative, and a willingness to ask questions
Desirables:
16. Knowledge of chemical, process or pharmaceutical manufacturing
17. Working with electronic maintenance management systems
18. Knowledge of DSEAR and experience of maintenance under these regulations
19. Knowledge of steam generation and distribution systems, pressure systems and the associated safety controls.
20. Knowledge of instrumentation for pressure, temperature, flow, level etc.
