We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Class 1 Night Driver to join our team, working with Howdens. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely, while providing excellent service to our clients. This role involves long-haul and/or regional driving with potential overnight stays depending on routes.
Salary:£45,132per annum.
Shift:Monday to Friday, 17.30 hrs to Approx 04.00hrs
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate Class 1 commercial vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
2. Transport goods to and from specified locations on time.
3. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logs, and inspections.
5. Load and unload freight when required (may involve use of liftgate, pallet jack, etc.).
6. Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations.
