About the Role
Come and Join the Team at Golden Lane Children's Centre! Golden Lane Children’s Centre is part of Prior Weston School which is in the modern, purpose built Golden Lane Campus building. The campus offers educational opportunities to everyone from babies to parents and carers. The centre provides education, services and support to children under 5 and their families.
We are seeking an Early Years Education Support Worker for the nursery room team. You will support the delivery of high‑quality childcare and education to children aged 0–4, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. You will work a rota of shifts from 8 am to 6 pm.
Salary and Contract
Salary Grade: Scale 5, Spine Point 12‑15. Annual salary range £34,359‑£35,892 (actual £29,781.11‑£31,112.93). Full‑time post, 35 hours per week, term‑time only/ fixed‑term contract (12 months). Maternity cover ends December 2026.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of high‑quality childcare and education to children aged 0–4.
* Assist with the EYFS curriculum and practical activities.
* Work flexibly on a rota basis to cover 8 am – 6 pm hours.
* Assist with daily care tasks, meal preparation, and classroom preparation.
* Support team in maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating environment.
Requirements
* Reliable, flexible and able to work well in a team.
* Commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all children aged 0–4.
* Enhanced DBS with barred list check (required).
* Knowledge of or willingness to learn EYFS curriculum.
