Job Description
LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester for a Team Lawyer on a temporary basis. The contract will last until March 2026 in the first instance, with potential to extend.
You will work across child and adult social services, with a particular focus on adult social care debt. There is potential for advocacy in this role too.
The client is looking for someone who has previous experience in adult social care debt, or who has significant transferable skills from other experience within adult social care or litigation.
To apply you will be:

* An England and Wales qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX lawyer
\t
* Able to demonstrate previous experience within adult social care debt or broad litigation within a local government environment
\t
* Able to attend the office in the Greater Manchester area as necessary on a hybrid-working basis
\t
* Available on no more than a 4-week notice period
The salary for this role will be £40-£50/hour umbrella, depending on experience.
