Your NewpanyA respected housing provider is seeking a Temporary Scheme Manager to provide short‑term cover at one of their sheltered housing schemes in Norwich. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and tenancy support of residents, delivering high‑quality onsite services.
Your New RoleBased onsite daily at the Norwich NR2 scheme, you will oversee the smooth running of the building and provide day‑to‑day support to residents. This role has no travel requirements, though a driving licence is preferred due to the scheme’s remote location.You will be responsible for:
1. Acting as the first point of contact for residents
2. Handling enquiries, low‑levelplaints, and coordinating repairs
3. Delivering daily welfare calls and escalating concerns where needed
4. Weekly fire alarm testing
5. Weekly legionella testing
6. Monthly H&S and pull‑cord testing
7. Monitoring and responding to pull‑cord emergency alerts
8. Supporting residents with tenancy matters and independent living
9. Managing allocations, lettings, and ie‑related processes
10. Working with partner agencies to ensure appropriate support services
11. Encouraging tenancy sustainment and maximising resident ie
This role is not hybrid - full onsite presence is required.
What You’ll Need to SucceedTo be successful, you'll need:
12. Experience in housing, support work, or a similar resident‑focused environment
13. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills
14. Confidence carrying out basicpliance and safety checks
15. Awareness of safeguarding practices and welfare benefits
16. Good digital, literacy, and numeracy skills
17. A Basic DBS (or willingness for us to process one at no cost to you)
Desirable:
18. Knowledge of local support agencies
19. CIH or similar qualification
