As a Maintenance Technician in our Shropshire Community Leisure Trust team, you’ll help ensure our leisure facilities are safe, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone in the community. You’ll play a vital part in keeping our buildings and equipment operating smoothly so that our customers can enjoy clean, reliable, and energy-efficient spaces every day. You’ll be entrusted to: Carry out planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across building systems and equipment. Manage and record maintenance activities using our Facilities Management System (FMS) to ensure accurate reporting. Oversee and support contractors on-site, ensuring all work meets our high standards for safety and quality. Respond quickly to maintenance issues, prioritising effectively to minimise disruption to customers. Maintain systems and controls that deliver excellent comfort levels, extend asset lifespan, and reduce energy use. Support the Technical and Facility Management teams with operational or technical queries as needed. Does this sound like you? You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have… Recognised qualifications such as City and Guilds (C&G) 2382 in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and C&G Electrical Installation and Maintenance Studies or equivalent. Hands-on experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance. Strong working knowledge of health, safety, and customer care procedures. Confidence using computer-aided systems for maintenance and reporting tasks. A proactive attitude, with flexibility to support on-call and out-of-hours work when required. Advantageous - if you also hold C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing, L8 Awareness, qualification, plumbing qualification, or any other trade qualifications.
