* Promoting high standards of kitchen safety and food hygiene in accordance with school policy.
* Encouraging creativity and independence in practical sessions while fostering an understanding of food provenance.
* Managing equipment and ingredients effectively to ensure a productive learning environment.
* Participating in the statutory ECT induction and collaborative departmental planning.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* A degree in Food Technology, Hospitality, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
* Strong practical skills and the confidence to manage a practical classroom safely.
* High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and the quality of practical outcomes.
* Excellent organisational skills and a high level of energy for the busy school day.
* A professional, positive, and proactive approach to departmental teamwork.
