Full-Time Performing Arts Teacher – Southampton, Hampshire

Do you have the creativity and passion to inspire young performers and bring the world of Drama and Performing Arts to life?

A vibrant secondary school in Southampton is looking for a dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join their team starting immediately or January 2026. This full-time role offers the opportunity to nurture students’ confidence, creativity, and performance skills while delivering high-quality lessons. Permanent contract on offer after a probation period has been completed. School is happy to accept ECT’s and experienced teachers.

Key Responsibilities of the Performing Arts Teacher:

* Plan and deliver dynamic Performing Arts lessons that engage and inspire students.
* Develop students’ performance, teamwork, and self-expression through practical and theoretical learning.
* Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.
* Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
* Contribute to school productions, extracurricular activities, and wider performing arts opportunities.

Requirements for the Performing Arts Teacher role:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge in Performing Arts, with a passion for creative education.
* Experience teaching Drama and Arts is advantageous.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and supporting the well-being of all students.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
