Internal Salesperson
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our clients team in South Down. Operating within the construction sector, they support a wide range of projects by providing high-quality materials and fabrication services. The successful candidate will play a key role in processing customer orders efficiently and ensuring smooth communication between sales, production, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle sales enquiries through various channels including in-person visits, phone calls and emails
* Check stock levels of required materials and determine cost prices.
* Prepare accurate quotations, factoring in fabrication costs, painting, material offcut wastage, and transport to ensure appropriate margins.
* Follow up on quotations and convert successful quotes into material pick lists. Issue instructions to the drawing office for complex fabrications.
* Prepare invoices and delivery notes as required.
* Track fabrication projects through the drawing office and workshop, keeping customers informed of progress and delivery dates.
* Liaise with transport planning, noting weekly delivery routes and contacting regular customers for additional requirements.
* Resolve customer queries and delivery issues promptly and professionally.
* Support business growth by reaching out to potential new leads when time allows.
* Work closely with credit control staff to ensure customer accounts are viable.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Previous relevant experience within the construction, building materials or related industry.
* Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel essential.
* Ability to quickly learn and use database systems (training will be provided).
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary is in the region of £30 -35k.
