Our client is a first-generation Construction Company operating across Ireland, UK, and Northern Europe. We specialize in Critical Environments such as Data Centres, Life Sciences, Aviation, High-Value Manufacturing, and Critical Logistics.
We are seeking a senior MEP Lead to join our team in London, overseeing MEP deliverables for Data Centre projects.
This project will be executed in phases, including main building works such as large diameter pile installation, ground beam substructure, pile caps, a heavy structural steel frame (9 floors), composite cladding, outer rainscreen, precast concrete central core areas, MEP infrastructure, full fitout of data halls on levels 1 & 2 with associated plant, below-ground drainage, and critical services infrastructure. External works include a link bridge to the existing campus north building and the construction of a single-storey security gatehouse.
Purpose of Role:
You will manage all aspects of MEP design, procurement, installation, and commissioning across multiple projects. You will lead and develop a team of MEP engineers, contractors, and consultants, ensuring quality and compliance of MEP works.

Role Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of Mechanical, Electrical, and commissioning engineers.
* Develop relationships with suppliers, MEP contractors, and consultants.
* Formulate procurement and delivery strategies for MEP projects.
* Ensure quality and compliance of MEP design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
* Review drawings, specifications, and schedules for accuracy.
* Propose client design alternatives and develop engineered solutions.
* Monitor procurement, delivery, and commissioning progress, aligning with the project timeline.
* Coordinate MEP installation to eliminate waste and optimize site activities.
* Prepare and monitor technical submittals for client approval.
* Oversee LEED and BREEAM compliance and submissions.
* Prepare operation and maintenance manuals.
* Manage the commissioning process to meet client requirements and milestones.
* Organize and lead client demonstrations.
The Candidate:
* Willingness to travel internationally.
* Relevant engineering degree and leadership experience.
* At least 10 years of experience in a similar role within a management contractor, large engineering contractor, or engineering consultancy.
* Proven longevity and stability in previous roles.
* Strong knowledge of digital technology, MEP standards, and regulations.
* Good commercial awareness and decision-making skills.
* Ability to attract, lead, develop, and retain engineering teams.
* Capability to review client designs and provide value-added solutions.
* Proactive and collaborative working style with stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel as required.
