Are you looking to fast-track your career with one of the world’s leading construction firms? A rare opportunity has opened up for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a globally recognised Tier One contractor, supporting the delivery of premium commercial fit-out schemes across London.
Based just a short walk from Liverpool Street Station, you’ll be working on high-quality fit-out projects valued over £100million.
Your Role: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you’ll be exposed to the full project lifecycle — from procurement through to final account — gaining hands-on experience with a globally respected business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation
* Support the procurement of subcontractors, including issuing tender packages and analysing returns
* Prepare and process subcontractor payments and valuations
* Monitor project costs, variations, and change control processes
* Help compile monthly commercial reports and cost/value reconciliations
* Conduct site visits to support progress monitoring and cost verification
* Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
* Ensure compliance with contract terms and commercial procedures
* Maintain accurate records and assist in the preparation of final accounts.
What Were Looking For:
* 1–3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
* Experience working on fit-out, interiors, or commercial construction projects
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or working towards RICS accreditation
* Familiar with JCT contracts (desirable but not essential)
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Eagerness to learn and grow within a Tier One environment
