Needed a SEN Teacher for students with special needs in Ringwood! SEN Teacher Location: Ringwood Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience) Start Date: September 2025 / Immediate Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time Are you a dedicated and empathetic teacher with a passion for working with children with special educational needs? GSL Education are seeking a compassionate SEN Teacher to join a committed and nurturing school community in Ringwood, where every child is encouraged to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering creative, personalised lessons to support students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. The school promotes a therapeutic and inclusive approach, ensuring every child’s needs are met holistically. Responsibilities of a Special Needs Teacher: Plan, deliver and assess individualised lessons tailored to pupils’ EHCPs. Foster a safe and nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being. Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals. Promote personal and academic development through structured routines. Use innovative teaching strategies to engage and motivate learners. Monitor progress and adapt plans based on pupils’ responses and needs. Contribute to the ongoing development of inclusive practices across the school. SEN Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Previous experience teaching students with SEN is highly desirable. Strong understanding of SEN teaching methods and behavioural strategies.
