As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering creative, personalised lessons to support students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. Responsibilities of a Special Needs Teacher: Plan, deliver and assess individualised lessons tailored to pupils’ EHCPs. Foster a safe and nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being. Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals. Promote personal and academic development through structured routines. Use innovative teaching strategies to engage and motivate learners. Monitor progress and adapt plans based on pupils’ responses and needs. Contribute to the ongoing development of inclusive practices across the school. SEN Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Previous experience teaching students with SEN is highly desirable. Strong understanding of SEN teaching methods and behavioural strategies.
