Maintenance Manager
Sunnybank House is a luxurious residential and dementia 60‑bed care home located in Eastleigh.
Full‑time position in Eastleigh, UK. Salary: £36,000 per annum plus company benefits.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role requires a committed team player with strong communication skills and basic computer literacy.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure high standards of maintenance throughout the home and grounds.
* Organise and undertake general maintenance, including basic plumbing, tiling, painting and decorating, groundwork, general building work, replacing light bulbs, cleaning gutters, and other tasks as needed.
* Carry out PAT testing of all electrical items in accordance with legislative guidelines.
* Test and record water temperatures and temperature control systems on showers and similar items.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and working practices.
* Implement fire prevention checks and regular checks of plant and document those checks.
* Report any accidents immediately to the Manager on duty and complete appropriate documentation.
* Provide out‑of‑hours cover via phone advice and on‑site visits as required.
* Read all company policies and procedures, stay up to date with regulations and adhere to them.
Key Attributes and Qualifications
* Previous experience carrying out maintenance.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Full and clean driving licence.
* Problem‑solving ability.
* Understanding of COSHH.
* Experience with PAT testing.
* Reasonable access outside working hours.
