Job Description
TPF Recruitment are working on behalf of a friendly, relaxed independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Winchester, who are looking to appoint a part-time Accounts Senior or Client Manager to join their growing team.
This is a part-time role (3-4 days per week), offering flexibility and an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied client portfolio within a supportive, personable practice environment.
The Role
Working closely with the Partners, you will operate in a broad general practice role, covering accounts, tax and client management responsibilities.
Key duties will include:
* Preparation of statutory accounts to review stage
* Managing a portfolio of OMB/SME clients
* Personal and corporate tax compliance, including VAT returns
* Overseeing bookkeeping work using cloud-based software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
* Supporting, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships
Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment
* ACA, ACCA, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience with a minimum of 5 years’ practice experience
* Strong hands-on experience across accounts, tax and VAT
* Confident managing client relationships and juggling multiple deadlines
* Approachable, team-oriented mindset suited to a smaller, friendly firm
Benefits
* £40,000-£52,000 FTE, dependent on experience (pro rata for part-time hours)

Requirements
For this fantastic opportunity, you may be an AAT studying, and/or perhaps studying ACCA or looking to build further on your experience following qualifying AAT, with a background in accountancy practice, with at least 2 - 4 years or more experience within practice, preparing accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You will be looking for a challenging, long term career move, at Accounts Semi Senior level, within a genuinely growing and expanding firm of chartered accountants, offering progression and career development.
