If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent FTE Unit Lead within the EARLY HELP INTENSIVE UNITS, INTEGRATED CHILDRENS SERVICES. You will be joining a team that is committed to providing high quality interventions to children, young people and their families, working closely with our multi agency partners and managers across West Kent. As Unit Lead, you will be leading a team of Early Help workers and supported by a Business Support officer. You will play a key role within the management team, providing a high standard of direct and family interventions to our children, young people, and their families. You will also Champion the KCC vision, ensuring the delivery of timely and innovative Early Help services that truly make an impact. You will be able to evidence knowledge of Childrens services including the delivery of early help interventions and targeted support to vulnerable children, young people and their families.
Responsibilities
* Provide management oversight of active cases and case records, manage workloads, supervise staff and develop a culture of mutual support and creative thinking to achieve improved outcomes.
* Maintain cases outside of more specialist interventions and be responsible for the allocation of cases, management oversight of assessments, reviews, closures and performance indicators for the team.
* Foster a positive team atmosphere and morale, evidencing good leadership skills and a proven track record for delivering good outcomes for children and young people.
* Lead, manage and motivate a team to embed a positive performance culture, with a strong focus on helping children and families to change their lives for the better.
* Work closely with the Children’s Social Work Team to deliver and shape Integrated Children’s Services.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrated leadership experience in delivering interventions within children’s services, with a track record of achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
* Experience in leading a team of frontline workers and coordinating multi-agency approaches to early help.
* Knowledge of early help interventions and targeted support for vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
