Home Manager - Residential Care Salary: Up to £55,000 Care Home Capacity: Up to 38 residents Care Type: Residential and Dementia Care Qualification Required: NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) We're looking for an experienced and committed Residential Home Manager to lead a well-established care home providing high-quality care to older people, including those living with dementia. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate manager who's confident in running a residential setting, with the leadership experience to inspire a team and the compassion to put residents at the centre of everything they do. About the Home The home supports up to 38 residents and specialises in both permanent and respite care, including tailored support for those with mild to moderate dementia. The building offers a mix of single and double rooms, some with en-suite facilities. Communal areas include a large TV lounge, a quiet room, and a music room - all with beautiful views of the countryside. The layout has been thoughtfully designed to create a warm and homely environment while maintaining safety and accessibility. Your Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day running of the home and lead the care team effectively Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and deliver high-quality, person-centred care Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external professionals Take responsibility for recruitment, staff development, and retention Manage budgets, staffing, and resources to run an efficient and supportive service Promote dignity, respect, and wellbeing throughout the home Be medication aware and confident in supporting risk management and care planning What We're Looking For NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care - essential Previous experience as a Home Manager or Deputy stepping up Strong leadership and people management skills Good understanding of dementia care and residential care standards Committed, reliable, and passionate about delivering excellent care Confident managing audits, compliance, and working with regulators This role would suit someone who's ready to take ownership of a well-run, supportive home and continue building a service that residents and their families can truly rely on.
