Overview
We are currently seeking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to join our team at New Craig’s Inverness. There may be a requirement to work across other facilities within the locality. You must be able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills. The role is varied to provide services to the Catering, Laundry and Domestic services with a variety of shift patterns to support the needs of the services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained in line with local infection control policies, Covid 19 guidance and maintaining compliance with the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification and Waste Regulations. You will meet specified cleaning schedules and promote and maintain high standards of cleanliness within the environment.
Responsibilities
* Carry out Catering duties within a clean, safe working environment and assist in the preparation and plating up of patient meals, regeneration of meals and preparation of salads, sandwiches and snacks.
* Meet specified Laundry Services standards to the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specifications.
* Ensure high standards of cleanliness and compliance with infection control, guidelines and waste regulations.
* Support Services in a flexible manner across Catering, Laundry and Domestic tasks and adapt to different shift patterns as required.
Qualifications
* An Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, but full training will be provided.
* Strong teamwork and the ability to work independently with good communication skills.
