About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialized Technician to join our team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in the high-energy world of racing and autonomous vehicle technology. Your expertise will impact our performance on the track and advance autonomous motorsports.
The position is based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, with frequent international travel for testing and racing events. Flexibility for work schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Management: Lead setup, maintenance, and track-side operations of autonomous race cars and high-performance electric vehicles.
* Mechanical Excellence: Perform mechanical maintenance, disassembly, inspection, optimization, and reassembly, ensuring safety and performance.
Track Operations: Manage vehicle operations during live sessions, including pit stops and setup adjustments.
Logistics: Oversee vehicle transport logistics across Europe and internationally, collaborating with the Technical Director.
Workshop Leadership: Maintain an organized workshop environment for vehicle prep and maintenance.
Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, flag protocols, and emergency procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Mechanical Skills: Knowledge of high-performance vehicle systems, suspension, tires, and optimization.
* Electronics: Basic understanding of advanced electronic systems like steer-by-wire and MoTeC systems.
* Motorsport Experience: At least 3 years in a professional racing environment.
* Education: Technical diploma or equivalent in automotive or mechanical engineering.
* Adaptability: Interest in autonomous driving tech and innovation.
* Teamwork: Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
* Driver's License: Valid driver's license required.
