Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home

A well-established residential childcare provider is opening a new home in Horsham and is looking for a Support Worker to join their team. This role is being advertised by 1Four1 Recruitment.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a new service supporting children and young people in a residential setting. The focus is on delivering person-centred care that promotes independence, personal growth and gives young people a strong voice in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
* Support children and young people in a residential care environment
* Supervise daily routines including before and after school and meal times
* Maintain a safe, structured and supportive living environment
* Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and behaviour management
* Accompany young people on activities and provide positive role modelling
* Work closely with colleagues, families and external professionals
* Record incidents, accidents and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
* Attend team meetings and follow guidance from senior staff
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children or young people in a care setting
* Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or Residential Childcare Worker
* Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to Horsham
* Good communication skills and a patient, supportive approach
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
* GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
* Right to work in the UK
