UK Payroll SME

The Role
A Payroll lead for a marquee customer of TCS. The role requires solid knowledge on UK Payroll, managing a good customer relationship and working agilely with a distributed team across locations.
Your Responsibilities:
* Sound knowledge of statutory compliances of UK payroll
* Calculate Tax, NI, Pensions in the UK
* Familiarity with year start/Year end activities of UK payroll
* Handle voice and email queries of client/Customer
* Process salary changes and various lifecycle events of employee pay component
Your Profile
* SME or go‑to person for UK Payroll queries
* End‑to‑end knowledge of Payroll (from graduate to employee and joiner to leaver)
* Knowledge and experience in processing payroll in Workday
* Processing requests related to pension, leaves and taxes
* Producing payroll reports for various stakeholders
* Active role in year start/end activities as well as UAT/UVT as required
* Providing training to new joiners in UK Payroll
* Auditing cases processed by the team
* Guiding the team in resolving complex queries
* Establishing standards and procedures for handling employee questions, transactions and HR programs administration
* Coordinating services with HRIS, HR program managers and technology specialists
* Making decisions related to schedule, plans and daily operations, performing escalated work
* Supervising a group of support associates, coordinating oversight
* Holding team members accountable for established policies
* Ensuring policies and procedures are followed, zero noncompliance across the engagement
* Ensuring Service Levels are met consistently
* Ensuring data privacy requirements are followed with utmost focus
* Maintaining and improving quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines; recommending improved procedures
* Experience working with a distributed or offshore team
* Experience with tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
