Your Role
This role is responsible for the day-to-day operational functionality and performance of the inspection operations, from off-loading trailers to presentation for inspection, and reloading onto trailers. Shift rotation: 4 days on, 4 days off.
Your Responsibilities
* Loading and unloading lorries, including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE.
* Ensuring the correct handling of all client products at all stages within the facility, whilst remaining compliant with manual handling procedures.
* Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested.
* Taking instruction from on-site partners to support the inspection process.
* Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training.
* Carrying out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives.
* Maintaining the inspection environment following training.
* Following COSHH awareness procedures after training.
* Assisting drivers in locating bays and supporting them with directions to bays and offices.
* Championing a health and safety culture.
Your Skills and Experiences
* Experience in logistics within a large, fast-moving environment.
* Strong experience with warehouse systems.
* Good knowledge of health & safety at work.
* Experience working towards targets.
* Intermediate PC skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.
* Understanding of warehouse practices, e.g., picking, loading.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines in an organized and informed manner.
* High level of accuracy.
* Flexible working hours, including covering holidays and absences when required.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Good communication skills and a high level of accountability, leading by example.
* The ability to motivate team members to excel and prioritize customer needs.
* High attention to detail.
