Year 2–3 Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for Year 2 and Year 3 pupils
- Inspire and motivate learners through a variety of creative teaching strategies
- Assess, record, and monitor pupil progress, providing clear feedback and setting targets for improvement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Build strong relationships with parents and guardians to support pupil development
- Participate in staff meetings, professional learning, and wider school life
Key Requirements Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching KS1 or lower KS2 pupils (Year 2 or Year 3 experience desirable)
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to tailor teaching to meet the needs of individual learners
