Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required; some college courses in accounting or related area preferred
* Effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills; experience with audits preferred; extremely numbers-oriented and computer literate, with superior spreadsheet skills. Proficiency in Excel is highly preferred
* Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form
* Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in all units of measure
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
License Requirements:
Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation Gaming License
Essential Job Functions:
* Enter daily information into revenue audit report forms and generate backup reports
* Prepare journal entries, track coupons, and record complimentary receipts
* Reconcile accounts regularly
* Monitor financial activities related to revenue accounting to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company controls, including federal and state tax and gaming commissions
* Evaluate revenue audit situations and determine appropriate actions
* Maintain high levels of service and satisfaction in revenue accounting
* Attend departmental meetings regularly
* Ensure departmental records and reports are accurate and thorough
* Maintain consistent attendance
* Perform other related duties as assigned
Physical/Mental Requirements:
* Constant talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, and manual dexterity
* Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
* Occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Working Conditions:
* Climate-controlled environment, alone or with others
* Exposure to paper, dust, smoke, bright lights, and noise
* Operation of various office machines
