Overview

We work are a Family Help Team and work with a range of families including those in need of Family Help Assessment, Targeted Early Support, Children in Need, those who are on the Edge of Care or Child Protection and Court, and children in care until they have a plan of permanency outside of their parents care or with a plan of reunification home. Our Family Help Team is multi‑agency with Family Support Worker, Family Practitioners, Social Workers, Systemic Consultants, PCSO's and soon NHS Nurse – all working together to meet the holistic needs to our families to reduce risk and keep families together. We work with families under the principles of Restorative Practice to identify plans which meet each individual family's needs and is used with every family, to help them identify positive change in order to develop a plan that works for them. Key Responsibilities

We are recruiting for the role of 2 x experienced Social Worker in our Family Help Team covering Nuneaton & Bedworth on a full‑time/permanent basis, Duty & Assessment as well as Safeguarding & Intervention.

Working hours – 37 hrs per week, with agile and flexible working options generally worked from 9 am till 5.30 pm Monday – Thursday and 9 am to 5 pm on Fridays.


Qualifications & Experience

* Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW))
* In‑depth experience in children’s social work and experience of complex cases
* Have excellent analytical skills with ability to make well‑informed decisions
* Can record and produce concise, effective, and accurate reports
* Have good communication skills with the ability to build relationships, engage with children and families


Career Path

* Year 1 – Newly Qualified Social Worker – Grade J
* Year 2 – Social Worker – Grade K
* Year 3 – Senior Social Worker – Grade L
* Year 4 – Advanced Social Worker – Grade N


Fluency Duty

The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
