Responsibilities:
- 40 hour a week contract
* Assist the Head Chef in food preparation and cooking
* Oversee and supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef
* Ensure that food is prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards
* Help create new menu items and specials
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
* Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
* Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
* Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to supervise and lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
