Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Front of House Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional service and operational efficiency within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with experience in food preparation, culinary arts, and team management. You will work closely with the Front of House Manager to oversee daily operations, maintain high standards of service, and foster a positive environment for both staff and guests.
Responsibilities
* Assist in managing daily front of house operations, ensuring smooth service delivery.
* Supervise and train front of house staff, including servers and baristas, to uphold service excellence.
* Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure adherence to food safety standards.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate menu offerings and special events.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
* Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
* Monitor inventory levels for food and beverage supplies, placing orders as necessary.
* Implement training programs for new staff on hospitality standards and operational procedures.
Experience
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hotel environment is essential.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
* Experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous, along with an understanding of hospitality principles.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
