This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Autism, Speech and Language Needs, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Communication Needs.As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.Help students overcome emotional, behavioural and learning barriers.Apply psychological theory and behaviour strategies in the classroom.Create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.Work alongside Teachers, Therapists and SEN professionals.This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Speech and Language Therapy, Mental Health Services or Teaching.
You will gain relevant safeguarding training, and help support the schools fully-integrated therapy programme.The school are looking for a motivated graduate who is friendly, proactive and enthusiastic. Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
