Our Wealth and Personal Banking business supports millions of individuals, families, business owners, investors, and entrepreneurs worldwide. We provide products and services that include current accounts, credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, savings, investments, insurance, and wealth management. We also have specialized relationship managers supporting customers with bespoke requirements, including high net worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
HSBC Insurance, UK, is responsible for manufacturing, sourcing, and supplying insurance products and services for HSBC UK, first direct, M&S Bank, and Commercial Banking, including external distribution for several product lines under both HSBC and other brands.
The purpose of the Sales Support Manager role is to support the HSBC Life Investment Bond Business Development Managers in achieving new business targets by assisting advisers through the investment bond application process, handling adviser queries, managing onboarding of new distributors, and ongoing management of existing distributors. This role is governed under the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD), which requires annual continuous professional development (CPD).

In this role, you will:
1. Manage key communications with distributors, planning and prioritising activities to ensure delivery aligned with objectives.
2. Support business change by using strong communication skills to build relationships and resolve issues efficiently.
3. Adhere to prescribed processes while demonstrating resilience within a complex governance and matrix-managed environment.
4. Model our key business metrics (profit, brand, resource, and cost) in your daily activities.
5. Identify and implement opportunities for product improvement and risk mitigation.
To be successful, you should meet the following requirements:
1. Experience within insurance or financial services (investment knowledge is an advantage).
2. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and challenging timescales with minimal supervision.
3. Strong and effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Robust planning and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
5. Ability to identify root causes of queries and provide accurate, timely solutions.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bristol or Whiteley.
