Job Overview
The role of a Senior Travel Consultant is to take responsibility for existing Abercrombie & Kent clients and build upon our rapidly growing client base. You will be creating memorable journeys, looking after the client from initial contact through to building itineraries, confirming travel arrangements, making contact upon their return, and setting up their next exciting experience of Abercrombie & Kent.
Responsibilities
* Contact enquiries and nurture initial leads into sales opportunities.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all product developments in your region.
* Provide daily updates to your Regional Sales Manager on enquiries, quotes, and follow‑ups.
* Attend product training and company‑sponsored educational trips.
* Create bespoke itineraries, ensuring proposals and quotes are delivered within 24 hrs.
* Maintain professional, friendly relationships with clients throughout the booking process.
* Pre‑travel and post‑travel client calls to seek feedback and resolve any issues.
* Encourage completion of post‑travel questionnaires.
* Research and verify all itineraries using in‑house systems, Amadeus, manuals and guides.
* Follow all company processes, recommend improvements, and cover for absent colleagues.
* Represent A&K at client events and trade exhibitions as an ambassador for the brand.
* Proactively manage progress of itineraries to maximise conversion to bookings and revenue.
* Track and achieve individual and team sales targets, adhering to margin guidelines.
* Collect client information, record reasons for non‑booking trips, and secure repeat business.
