Teaching Personnel is proud to work alongside a progressive and supportive secondary school in Durham. The school is seeking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic educator to help boost the academic performance of incoming Year 7 students. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in English and Maths, focusing on closing the attainment gap between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.
The successful candidate will work with small groups of students entering secondary school who are below the expected standard in English and/or Maths. This targeted intervention programme has a strong track record of success and is expanding to support more learners.
About the Role:
* Deliver intervention lessons in English and Maths at Key Stage 3
* Provide tailored support to lower-attaining Year 7 pupils
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance pupil outcomes
* Responsibilities can be adjusted based on your subject expertise and teaching background

* A primary-trained teacher looking to transition into secondary education
* Someone experienced with KS2/KS3 transitions or middle school teaching

Requirements:
* Background in English and/or Maths
