We are seeking two experienced Senior Project Managers to join the ATNC (Norwich to Tilbury) project, part of the National Grid's Great Grid Partnership. One role will lead the 5km Underground Cable (UGC) section, and the other will manage the 101km Overhead Line (OHL) section. This £250m project is currently in its ECI phase, with site access planned for July 2027 and completion by Q2 2031.
You will be responsible for setting and maintaining the highest safety, cultural, and behavioural standards, preparing and implementing Safe Systems of Work, and ensuring successful delivery in line with Morgan Sindall standards. Civil engineering experience is essential, with energy sector experience desirable. Qualifications such as SMSTS and First Aid are required.
This position offers a key opportunity to lead major infrastructure works from planning through to completion, delivering exceptional results for our customer.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

* Experience in civil engineering is essential; experience in the energy sector is desirable.
* Qualifications: SMSTS, First Aid, and relevant civil engineering credentials.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field.
* Chartered membership of a professional institution (desirable).
* CSCS card.
* Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
* Strong management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and ensure high standards of compliance.
* Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
* Sound knowledge of the construction industry and ability to meet standards and specifications.
* Ability to work with senior management to set project and operational targets.
* Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with the ability to make a sound business case to stakeholders.
