Immunohistochemistry Assay Development Scientist

Our client is a global Leader in health diagnostic tools and services, specialising in providing easy-to-use diagnostics to improve patients’ lives. Due to company expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Scientist to join the company to support with projects facilitating In-Vitro Diagnostics Development.
The role:
Working as part of small investigations team, you will be responsible for supporting projects around technical support for product improvement and development. The role will involve cross-functional collaboration with other teams to ensure project delivery. Core responsibilities will include:
 * Support projects for the on-going product development, product release and advancement of IVD tools.
 * Use technical experience in IVD development to solve complex problems and provide optimisation and corrective actions.
 * Maintain market awareness of utilise scientific data to improve Immunohistochemical products

This role is an interactive role and requires cross-departmental collaboration and ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment. As such, an on-site presence is required for this position.
Technical requirements include:
 * Significant industry experience working with immunohistochemical assays and assay development
 * Knowledge of molecular chemistries involved in advanced immunohistochemical assays (i.e. FISH)
 * Experience of microscopic slide examination
 * Familiarity with Recombinant Protein manufacture, Hybridoma growth and Cell Culture, would be advantageous.
 * Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving approach to challenges
 * Ideally educated to MSc in a relevant biological discipline, or with equivalent industry experience
