Our equipment is used across laboratory, medical, pharmaceutical, and industrial environments, combining robust mechanical engineering with advanced PLC-based control systems. The Role We are looking for a hands-on Workshop Foreman with a strong electro-mechanical background to lead day-to-day workshop operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the build, assembly, testing, and refurbishment of our autoclave and sterilisation equipment while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate workshop technicians and fitters Lead the assembly, build, and testing of electro-mechanical equipment Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs Support fault finding on mechanical, electrical, and control systems Ensure work is completed to quality, safety, and delivery targets Liaise with engineering, production, and service teams Drive continuous improvement in workshop processes Maintain a safe working environment and enforce H&S standards About You Strong electro-mechanical engineering background (essential) Previous experience as a Foreman, Supervisor, or Lead Engineer Hands-on experience with: Industrial machinery / pressure systems / process equipment Electrical panels, motors, sensors, and PLC-based systems Ability to lead and motivate a team on the shop floor Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience in manufacturing, service, or workshop environments Desirable (Not Essential) Experience with autoclaves, steam systems, or pressure vessels Knowledge of validation, testing, or regulated industries Apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering What We Offer Stable, long-established UK manufacturer Varied and technically interesting work Opportunities for progression Supportive team environment Competitive salary and benefits package
