Band 5 Nurse – Sapphire Ward, Gravesham Community Hospital, North Kent
We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate Band 5 Nurses to join our friendly and welcoming Ward team based on the Sapphire Ward at Gravesham Community Hospital. You will work collaboratively alongside multi‑disciplinary teams caring for 21 patients, focusing on the rehabilitation of stroke and neurological patients and supporting their independent living.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintain a high standard of patient‑focused care.
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
* Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.
* Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.
* Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient.
* Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and other applicable regulations.

Ideal Candidate
You will be a registered Nurse with a licence to practice, passionate about rehabilitation and encouraging patients to achieve independent living. The role operates 24/7, so willingness to cover all shift patterns, including nights and weekends, is essential. You must be confident using IT systems and demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with a licence to practice.
* Proficient in IT systems, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Willingness to cover all shift patterns (nights and weekends).
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Full‑time (37.5 hours per week)
Pay scheme: Band 5 with salary discussion at interview
