We are now seeking Qualified Children's Residential Support Workers who are ready to bring their skills, experience, and passion to a setting where they can truly make a difference.
About the Role:
As a Qualified Children's Support Worker, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for the children in our care. Your experience and professional training will enable you to respond with empathy, insight, and structure to the complex emotional and behavioural needs of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver trauma-informed, therapeutic support tailored to each child's individual needs
* Promote emotional resilience, life skills, and positive routines
* Support children to explore and express their wishes and feelings in a safe way
* Maintain clear, accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews
* Use your professional judgement to respond appropriately to challenging behaviour
* Foster strong, supportive relationships that help young people develop trust and confidence
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, advocating for the best outcomes for each child
What We're Looking For:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A deep understanding of child development and the effects of trauma
* Confidence in working independently and as part of a team
* A flexible, compassionate, and resilient approach
* Commitment to safeguarding, emotional safety, and child-centred care
* Willingness to continue professional development, including progression to Level 4 or beyond (fully funded)
