Based at our Melbourne, Burwood Campus. Part-time 0.4FTE and continuing in the School of Psychology. Level B $113,157 - $133,837 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time).

About The Role
The Lecturer will coordinate placements within the Deakin School of Psychology Clinical Programs. Working with the Director of Clinical Programs and Partnerships, and the course leadership for professional psychology, the focus is to ensure trainees receive high-quality placements aligned with program requirements. The appointee will also contribute to teaching, service, and research in professional psychology programs, promote the School, and maintain partnerships with academic, industry, and professional communities.
The incumbent may supervise postgraduate students on placement and will coordinate and support teaching activities related to placements and clinical training. They will also contribute to research activities appropriate to the appointment level.
As a Lecturer, Education-focused, You Will
* Develop and maintain relationships with agencies to secure high-quality placement opportunities for postgraduate students.
* Build links with industry, professional bodies, and the community.
* Create professional development programs for field supervisors to meet registration criteria.
* Develop online and flexible course materials related to placement requirements.
* Contribute to assessment systems for placements, including evaluating supervisee competency.
* Manage placement data and records.
* Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in professional psychology, aligning with university principles.
* Review and refine course units and materials.
To Be Successful, You’ll Have
* PhD or relevant qualifications and experience.
* Registered psychologist (APHRA).
* Area of practice endorsement.
* Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor status.
* Experience in teaching and curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
* Passion for teaching and student success.
* Research contribution and interpersonal skills.
