Bank Physiotherapy Technician - Springfield Hospital Bank Hours

The role:

Whilst under guidance of the orthopaedic outpatient therapy team you will be required to complete initial therapy assessments, provide interventions and facilitate discharge planning for a designated caseload of patients.

There will also be the necessity to support the team with administrative duties. The post holder will also be expected to partake in the delivery of group exercise and rehabilitation treatment programmes.

We are looking for the successful candidate to have suitable experience who is passionate and enthusiastic that can bring their experience to our orthopaedic inpatient team.

You will have the opportunity to work jointly with a range of experienced staff and will work as part of a wider, multi-disciplinary team on the ward. Experience of working as a therapy assistant or in a hospital/caring rehabilitation environment is essential. This position would be an ideal opportunity if you are looking to broaden your knowledge and skills, or intend to train as a Physiotherapist in the future.

The physiotherapy department delivers a structured in-service training programme, underpinned by regular clinical supervision, mentoring, and peer group support.

* An understanding of the Private sector would be an advantage

* The successful candidate will be flexible and able to work weekend shifts as required to meet the needs of the hospital.

We also offer outreach clinics in Southend and Brentwood enabling you access to our expert consultants and diagnostics close to home. Our consultants are supported by a team of highly skilled and friendly nursing staff who have your care and comfort as their highest priority and our Resident Medical Officer who is on site 24 hours a day.
