Recruitment Manager
Are you an experienced recruiter with a passion for delivering high quality hiring across a growing firm? We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious Recruitment Manager to join our HR team. In this role, you’ll assist the Head of Recruitment to help shape the recruitment strategy, and support our journey towards Vision 2030. You’ll play a key part in enhancing our employer brand, building talent pipelines, and ensuring our values are reflected at every stage of the recruitment journey.
Our HR team of 13 is predominantly based in Peterborough, where this role will sit, with some based in Winchester and London. As a people focussed team, we work to support our five main divisions (Commercial, Infrastructure, Planning & Development, Residential and Rural) to attract, recruit and retain the best people who deliver high performance and support them to achieve their full potential. This role will play a crucial part in us achieving these goals. Our Peterborough office, located at the Allia Business Centre, is a vibrant and open planned setting. The Recruitment Manager role will be a hybrid position, being based in the office Wednesday to Friday. Main responsibilities
Senior Recruitment
• Lead senior level recruitment across multiple divisions, supporting delivery against Vision 2030 and People Strategy KPIs.
• Line manage and develop the Recruitment Administrator.
• Maximise direct sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter and coach hiring managers to use their networks effectively.
• Conduct headhunting, market mapping and build robust talent pipelines for current and future roles.
• Build and manage relationships with agencies, job boards and social platforms.
• Champion direct hiring to reduce recruitment spend and improve time to hire and retention.
• Enhance personal employer brand presence on LinkedIn to expand industry networks.
• Advise hiring managers on best practice recruitment processes.
• Manage confidential job offers and negotiate terms with successful candidates.
• Oversee the PSL, ensuring agencies align with branding, market positioning and EDI strategy.
• Deliver internal and external recruitment briefings and webinars.
Early Careers Recruitment
• Lead the early careers recruitment strategy for Infrastructure.
• Coordinate attraction campaigns, assessment centres and candidate tracking.
• Maintain data and report on Rare Contextual.
• Deliver on campus presentations and develop university partnerships.
Strategy & Employer Brand
• Support EDI initiatives and attend related network meetings.
• Collaborate with the Disability Forum to support inclusive recruitment processes.
• Partner with hiring managers to deliver effective recruitment campaigns and attraction strategies.
• Work with senior leaders to identify required behaviours, skills and competencies.
• Partner with Marketing, Comms & BD to create compelling recruitment campaigns and materials.
• Support development of new employer brand initiatives and social media optimisation.
• Contribute to reviewing senior leadership recruitment processes and policies.
What will it take to be successful?
You will be a confident, proactive recruiter with senior level hiring experience, ideally from a property, professional services or agency background. You will possess experienced headhunting capabilities with the ability to quickly grasp the required approach to the market. You will have experience of managing a range of stakeholders and thrive on delivering an exceptional recruitment experience every time. You will ideally have line management experience, though not essential, and be able to work effectively as a team member across HR. You will also have gained experience in reviewing data and writing reports, to build on KPIs and outcomes. This role will require travel to our offices and events.
