Care and Support - The Ashton Care Home – Hinckley
Contract: Full Time • Salary: £12.21 Per Hour • Shift Type: Days & Nights Available • Contracted hours: 24 to 48
Our private care home is situated in the town of Hinckley. We specialise in Residential Care, Dementia Care, Nursing Care, Respite Care, and Palliative care for 72 residents. In this role, you’ll be a key person responsible for helping us achieve an excellent standard of care and will be an integral part of our care team to promote the values and ethos of our home.
Responsibilities
* Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, and encourage independence.
* Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalized care plan with hands-on help and attentive care.
* Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident in every interaction.
* Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff.
* Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond to emergencies or call bells promptly.
* Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need help with eating and drinking to meet nutritional needs.
* Spread Smiles: Bring joy to residents and help them smile every day.
About You
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* Experience: Ideally at least 6 months as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
* Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and delivering excellent service.
