Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established digital organisation who are expanding their research team. They are seeking to recruit a Senior User Researcher on an initial 3 month contract to play a key role in shaping the future of their subscription and monetisation experience across web and app platforms.
This role will be instrumental in delivering high-impact user research that informs both short-term tactical improvements and longer-term strategic redesigns. The successful candidate will work closely with Product, Design, Engineering and senior stakeholders to uncover actionable insights that drive clarity, value and seamless user journeys.
The role will lead on work to understand the change and benefits management requirements of the organisation, implementing and designing key change management practices. You will provide support across key areas of transformation, working alongside project delivery to ensure business changes are coordinated and meet strategic goals.
Responsibilities
* Planning and conducting end-to-end user research to validate freemium models, pricing strategies and monetisation opportunities
* Leading discovery activities including user interviews, usability testing and concept validation
* Designing and executing research plans that address both immediate product questions and longer-term strategic initiatives
* Analysing and synthesising qualitative and quantitative data into clear and actionable insights
* Collaborating closely with designers, product managers, engineers and business stakeholders to ensure research aligns with commercial goals
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience delivering user research for digital products, ideally within e-commerce, subscription or SaaS environments
* Experience within membership pricing subscription models advantageous
* Strong capability across qualitative and quantitative research methods including usability testing, interviews, surveys and concept testing
* Comfortable working at pace, bringing clarity and direction through evidence‑led insight
* Communication and collaboration skills with experience working across multidisciplinary teams
* Hands‑on experience with remote research tools such as UserTesting and familiarity with analytics platforms
