Job summary
This is anexciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic teamproviding high intensity interventions in COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURALTHERAPY (CBT), working with adults aged 16+ who have anxiety or depressionfor which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. This is a fixed-term post for 12 months covering maternity leave.
This role will suitqualified therapists who hold an accredited registration with the BABCP ornewly qualified CBT Therapists working towards accreditation.
The postholder will work within the service to provide high intensity CBT interventionsto patients at Step 3 of the Talking Therapy service. We operate hybrid working to includeremote/office based hours to include face to face patient contact, telephoneand video conferencing. The contractedhours are 37.5 over 5 days. This is a full time post but we would consider applicants looking for part time.

Main duties of the job
Atypical week will involve working autonomously and as part of a team. Working within a hybrid model you will offerCBT treatments from your home if appropriate and from your office base. You will work collaboratively with patientsto assess and provide CBT interventions, supporting patients to work towardsrecovery via group and/or one to one CBT treatments. You will manage a caseload of individuals withmild to moderate depression and/or anxiety and will keep abreast of therequirements to meet KPI targets. Youwill maintain clear and accurate clinical records and will be supported toreflect on practice via regular supervision. You will undertake CPD to further your skillsand knowledge base and there will be opportunity to develop your skills byfacilitating groups, offering supervision and developing skills. You will maintain close links, both with yourteam and with relevant agencies within the care pathway.

Person Specification
Skills & Abilities
* Able to write clear reports and letters to referrers and patients.
* Advanced communication skills.
* The ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
Qualifications
* Qualification from IAPT high intensity course for adults in the modality required by the service:
* Either:
* High intensity CBT
* High Intensity PCE-CfD
* High Intensity IPT
* High Intensity DIT
* Maintain full accreditation with appropriate body or actively work towards accreditation and achieve provisional accreditation within one year of appointment and full accreditation within two years of appointment
* Good record of continuing professional development and willingness to continue this.
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
Additional Criteria
* Ability to meet the travel requirements of the role
Knowledge
* Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care.
* Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems.
* Demonstrates an understanding for the need to use evidence based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services
* Demonstrable experience of working in a service for clients with mild-moderate mental health problems
* Experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating key competences as outlined in Roth & Pilling competency framework
* Experience of successfully treating a range of presenting problems with high intensity therapy in line with NICE guidance
* Has worked in a service where agreed targets are in place, demonstrating clinical outcomes
* Experience of using disorder specific measures to inform clinical practice
* Experience of delivering treatment, using disorder specific models
* Experience of accurate and detailed assessment and management of risk
* Has received training (either formal or through experience) and carried out risk assessments within scope of practice
