About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Assistant Manager/Supervisor to join a dynamic team and lead the audit process from start to finish. If you're already managing a portfolio of 3-5 clients, this role is for you.
You’ll oversee each audit job, supervise junior staff, and lead assignments while working closely with partners and directors. The role includes working with a varied and interesting portfolio of clients including entrepreneurial businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and listed entities. The ideal candidate must have experience with Listed/AIM clients. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in ad hoc specialist assignments.
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities
* Lead audits from planning to completion, including compliance and substantive testing
* Supervise and train junior and semi-senior staff, review their work, and provide coaching
* Manage a portfolio of clients including UK groups, private companies, LLPs, and listed entities
* Prepare high-quality work programmes and ensure timely delivery of audit assignments
* Participate in external planning and completion meetings
* Handle technical queries and seek partner support where needed
* Liaise with clients and internal teams to agree on adjustments and ensure accurate disclosures
* Audit tax computations and draft management letters and reports
* Keep senior management informed of assignment progress
* Perform day-to-day duties in the office, including acting as a buddy for new joiners
Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualified
* Experience with auditing Listed/AIM Clients
* Previous experience in a similar audit-focused role
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, FRS 102, auditing standards, and company law
* Understanding of corporate tax for reviewing computations
* Confident communicator with excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
