Overview
We're seeking an experienced, proactive midwife with a solid knowledge base to join our Specialist Diabetes Midwifery Team on secondment from December 2025 for 13 months. As one of our Diabetes Midwives, you'll provide women with diabetes with specialist antenatal care. This is a dynamic role with adaptable responsibilities across sites including The Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary.
Responsibilities and expectations
Plan and deliver comprehensive care and clinical advice in collaboration with the diabetes team. Communicate complex information effectively and adopt a proactive approach to unexpected outcomes. Monitor our failsafe systems and contribute to patient safety. Maintain essential data with attention to detail and basic Microsoft Office proficiency. Support ongoing training of colleagues and share knowledge through presentations where appropriate.
Travel and working
Role will require working across sites, including The Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary, so flexibility in travel is essential.
