£24,956 per annum rising to £25,350 per annum on successful completion of probation and £26,474 per annum after accreditation.

Hours:
37.5 hours per week

Holiday:
25 days annual holiday entitlement increasing to 30 days after 5 years' service per annum plus bank holidays

Base:
Pool Innovation Centre, Pool, TR153PL or The Business Centre, Cattedown, Plymouth,

PL40EG, dependent on location.

Area Covered:
Countywide

Contract:

RP039 IDVA -

This is a fixed term contract until February 2026 covering maternity leave for our CYP IDVA role. The CYP IDVA will be responsible for managing a caseload of young people aged between 13-17 years old who are experiencing serious harm from (intimate partner violence) and domestic abuse. The post holder will ensure that each young person receives a trauma-informed, needs led, risk assessed service which is tailored to their individual needs and requirements.

The CYP IDVA will proactively work closely with other local agencies, professionals and forums to effectively identify and support young people who are experiencing serious harm from intimate partner violence and domestic abuse. To ensure that these young people receive integrated and seamless multi agency support which will include both safeguarding and MARAC interventions.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide a pro-active service to young people experiencing domestic abuse.
* To provide advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims to address key needs.
* The CYP IDVA will act as a champion for young people raising awareness of the severity of the abuse young people experience
* To engage local agencies, professionals and forums in developing new care/referral pathways for children and young people experiencing domestic abuse.
* To understand and actively use the legal framework relating to the protection of victims including the policy and procedures of the local safeguarding.
* Facilitate Outreach and drop-in services in community based locations across Cornwall and Isles Of Scilly.

Essential Requirements

* Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Understanding the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
