Project Controller – Overview
Use your financial expertise to drive the delivery of critical infrastructure projects that power the world. We are looking for an exceptional Project Controller to join our Grid Solutions team in Stafford.
Responsibilities
* Maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with sales positions and reflecting actual progress and market trends.
* Validate the accuracy of cost estimates, including labor, materials, and supplier invoices.
* Develop mitigation and recovery plans in collaboration with functional leaders to address budget deviations.
* Communicate clear financial status, risks, and forecasts to stakeholders to support proactive decision-making.
* Collaborate with finance and planning teams to reconcile financial data and ensure cost and schedule alignment.
* Improve project performance by identifying root causes of cost movements and supporting the analysis of claims.
Qualifications
* Manage and analyze complex project costs for large-scale infrastructure work.
* Communicate financial data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Understand risk management processes and build effective mitigation plans.
* Excel in financial reconciliation and cost-to-complete forecasting.
* Have a keen interest in the operational and financial success of grid infrastructure projects.
A formal education in an engineering or finance-related subject is nice to have, but we focus on your total experience and professional achievements in project or cost control.
Position details
This is a permanent position based in our Stafford office. We have a hybrid working model that gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
