Housing Officer: Northampton

Permanent 32 to 37.5 hours per week.

Salary £27,100 to £33,700 per year, plus car allowance.

Home Based/Agile Working. Salary stated based on Full Time. Part Time working salary to be pro-rata / hours.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for two Housing Officers, one located in the Greater Manchester area, and one located in either the West or Central Midlands. This is an exciting home based/agile working opportunity to be part of a small team delivering exceptional services to our tenants in line with our values.

The role is responsible for the effective frontline delivery of services to Encircle Housings' tenants across the region. As the Housing Officer (Supported Living), you will work closely with other partners to provide an overall holistic package of housing management support to vulnerable tenants with learning disabilities, mental health diagnosis, and/or sensory impairment.

Key duties and responsibilities will include the delivery of specialist housing management services in relation to tenancy management: rents & income collection & recovery: management of voids, allocations & lettings as well as engaging & involving tenants and their families or appointees in matters that affect their ability to sustain their tenancy.

Our ideal candidate will have:

* A proven track record of delivering high-quality housing management services either with a local authority or registered housing provider
* 12 months experience of working within a supported housing environment
* An ability to demonstrate an understanding of issues associated with individuals who may have complex care & support needs.
* Experience of effective stakeholder management both internally & external to the organisation.
* Knowledge of Housing Benefit Regulations
* Knowledge of Housing Legislation
* proficient use of a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office applications.

Key Information – TwoHousing Officers are required for a home/agile role, working from home to support our tenants in the Northwest and Midlands (and parts of the south). Applicant must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel (car allowance, mileage and subsistence come as part of the package). The postholder will be subject to a DBS check. These are full or part-time positions, hours per week.
